Would You All Be Interested in More Poker Tournaments

I'd be very interested in more poker tourneys at tops. Streak being involved would make it even better!As far as specific days and/or times are concerned, I'm really flexible right now and would simply make it a point to participate in Streak games. I know not everyone has that advantage, and it doesn't help the "powers that be" very much, but that's my situation and I'll support whatever comes to be. I don't get in on nearly as many live games as I used to anymore, and I've learned to really enjoy playing online.I just love to play poker, so I even play small Freerolls. I try to keep enough of a balance to play small buy-in games, but not everyone can. Hell, I can't at times, either. I think it's great that Streak is thinking about more tourneys and I'll support them all the way!

I had a thought about the games. It seems we have a good turnout for the times that these games were on.. so Saturday night games would seem to do very well.. probably the same time as the Tops games were. It just seemed to get a pretty good turnout. Also just a thought to throw out there. If we had weekly games.. why not make it like a league. .. with prizes for the top finishers. You could also do like... run it for 5 weeks per league and have the top 4 of 5 finishes count as your top scores for a total. That way.. someone could miss a game out of the 5 and still have a good chance at a top finish in the standings. It makes for a good fun friendly competition and since a member wouldn't have to worry about making every game to still have a chance at a good finish... it should keep more interested in showing up for every game. Buy ins of $1 or $2 would likely get a better attendance as far as buy ins go.. and you could even mix it up now and then and make a $2 one set up as a bounty game as well with $1 going on each players head as a bounty. That way everyone has a target on their backs! Just a suggestion to throw in the mix. Of course it wouldn't always HAVE to be buy ins.. you could also throw in a freeroll now and then to try to please everyone. I think small buy ins will go though. After all.. if your adding $25 .. a buck or 2 makes for a good value to enter as well. :stk

As for a suggestion for what the prizes for the top finishers might be?.. If more cash isn't available..perhaps Tops might throw in some good tickets to 5k or better tourneys for the winners.. or the like?

Yes. indeed. More games would be great. And as far as time and place goes?. I think If you Build it they will come. Just like the field of Dreams. And a Big thank you for last nights game at tops. It was realy nice to see so many seasoned and top notch players as well. It was quite enjoyable. I had fun and always great to see some old friends. Freerollbird

We appreciate all the input! Getting maybe a weekly game together will be my goal for now. I know leagues and all that sound great, but we are not set up so much as a poker forum and I just don't know how much time I will have to do anything like that (for now, you never know in the future!!!) :)HG

this would be cool for sure.nice to see some poker buds interested as well.not rich but always manage to afford a gd game with gd poker friends. hey dats yep they left the doggie door open. :thank you
