You know, some people are just lucky. In the 80s there was a popular raffle that was an upside bingo game, of sorts. You bought one of the tickets for, I don't remember, $100, I think, and had a chance to win a car. Your ticket had a number on it.
Everyone gathered the night of the event, and when the raffle started and numbers were drawn, if your number was pulled you were out. As people were eliminated, the haggling began and people would offer to buy your ticket from you. A man I knew not only won that car (he had the last number left in the cage), a few months later he won again. That last time he had bought a ticket from one of the last ten people left for $500. Yes, he had money to buy that ticket, but hey, he was still very lucky, don't you think?
Like I said, some people are just luckier than others. Than me, LOL.
