Universal Championship of Poker II
Do you have what it takes to be The Greatest Poker Player in the Universe? You’ll have the chance to earn this title during September in the 2nd Universal Championship of Poker (UCOP II), a series of tournaments with €500,000 in guaranteed prizes. And the winner will receive a trophy and €10,000!
You’ll be able to follow your progress thanks to a leaderboard that will track the results as the UCOP II continues through September. You can earn points by showing the various qualities necessary to be The Greatest Poker Player in the Universe. Here’s how:
Great Players are Winners (1 Point)
Obviously, the greatest players win. So the more you win in the Universal Championship of Poker, the more points you get.
Every €1 won in UCOP = 1 point
Great Players Grow the Game of Poker (250 Points)
Great players don’t just play poker. They live and breathe it. They share it with their friends and family. They contribute to the game and grow it for others.
We’ll give you extra points if you share the Universal Championship of Poker with your followers on Twitter.
Tweet a screenshot of you playing the Universal Championship of Poker using the hashtag #UCOP = 250 points
250 points per event, 3,000 points maximum (250 for each of 12 events)
Tweet must remain visible for at least 5 business days
Screenshot must be clear, with the hand ID and player’s poker alias clearly legible
Great Players are Consistent (500/1,000 Points)
Luck is not enough to be a great player – you have to win consistently over time. So if you cash in more than one event, we’ll give you bonus points.
We’ll give you extra points if you share the game with the world by streaming it online using Twitch.
Every tournament streamed online = 500 points
Players must tweet @ThrillOfPoker with a link to their stream
Player’s poker alias and poker room must be clearly visible
Stream must be publicly accessible worldwide
Recorded stream must be accessible after the event has completed
Most thrilling stream = 1,000 points
Awarded at our discretion, the player with the most thrilling stream of the series will win an additional 1,000 points. The award may be given to the player with the best commentary, highest quality stream, best promotional gimmick, or anything else deemed to contribute to an exciting stream by MPN management.
Great Players Play Multiple Forms of Poker (1,000/2,000 Points)
A lot of players specialize in a single type of poker. But that’s not enough to be the Greatest Poker Player in the Universe. The greatest players can win, whatever the game. So we’ll give you more points if you play different styles of poker throughout UCOP, and even more if you play every event.
Play Event #5, Event #7 and any rebuy event = 1,000 points
OR
Play all events in the series (only one day 1 from Event #5 is required) = 2,000 points
NB. A maximum of 2,000 points is available for playing multiple events.
