trick or treating

we had trick or treating yesterday from 3-5, what happened to
doing it on halloween?? did anyone else's town to it this weekend?
Halloween sure isnt what it use to be

no i didnt even know it was trick or treating until I seen all the
kids running around in town. we live out of town, so we dont get
any kids. very strange

Weird, as far as I know they still trick or treat here on Halloween!

yeah they still do it on halloween here.. but i do know the 'trunk or treating' has gotten pretty popular, they do it the whole week up until halloween. the parents meet at churches or school parking lots and have candy in their trunks and the kids dress up and collect candy that way instead of trick or treating at strangers houses.. i guess it's a good idea for some but still kinda lame lol

If they don't want to take their kids trick or treating, why don't they just have a Halloween party on Halloween. I did that with a friend for a few years when the weather was bad or one of the kids sick or any reason.
