Here is a blast from the past, 1979. Yesterday i didn't have anything better to do so i watch the tv. A American documentary from 2016 "The Killing Season" episode 5 was coming up i a few min. and i thought ...WHY NOT. Right in the beginning they played 4 maybe 6 seconds of this song and I ended up dropping the tv and listen to the song instead. It's the old version and almost 10 min. long but i listen to it for 1 hour, couldn't drop it and I knew it had to become my next post. It's a band named BAUHAUSand the song might feel long as hell for some and that he waits close to 3 min. before he sing ain't helping for rookies but please give it a chance. It's very tripping and maybe the best song released in 1979. And his voice... Just listening. The song is called Bela Lugosi's dead....
I'm with CareyG on this one... "Never heard of them, I feel so out of the loop" so i listen to it. Not that bad, I can see why some (vixen777) would like this ...Just wondering, What kind of music is this called, it sounds to me a bit Rock'ich but that's me and what do I know... (don't answer that, please) Well Not a bad song but i gotta go.
I'm not sure what kind of music you would call it either Number 1 Nisse, it does sound like rock
I like your last song!! I love this thread, I think it is great to hear what others are
listening too!!
Thanks again
here's my song for the day, its an older one, best I think its one of their best
Hi. I got 3 with 1, saw that on MTV once Here is a cover-song originally made by HOT CHOCOLATE called EMMA. It's a 'Goth Rock' version made by British band called Sisters Of Mercy and from 1984. When I heard it back in the mid 80's with "The Sisters" I didn't knew it was a cover so to me this version is the "Right One" (took me 10 years before I found out about Hot Chocolate)So get ready, it's mid 80's and 'Goth Rock' cover time....
Another Sisters Of Mercy song but this is one of their own. It's from 1987 called Lucretia My Reflection and the style is now Gothic rock/dark wave....
The 3rd and last one is from 1983 and a cover-song. It's a Live 'Bootleg' version because they never officially recorded it. It's the best version I can find so I'll hope you'll bear with me please.
This is to all the Country-Loving-Folks around here, Dolly Parton's song Jolene in a Goth Country Rock version...
Some "who-cares" info. Only two members have been on board since the beginning (1983) till now. The man that is 'The Sisters' Andrew Eldritch and his drummer "Doktor Avalanche" (a drum machine!)
Don't say I didn't try...... Until next time, remember to And be Happy..
