Something thats puzzling me from the beginning, I wonder if anyone knows..

WHY DOES THE BIRDIE IN 'HOLE IN LOST' BARK LIKE A DOG?!?

I never heard a bird bark like a dog before, at least not that I know of.
When I hear a dog I suppose it actually IS a dog.

Maybe a parrot that imitates a dog, but the birdie in that golfgame is definately NOT a parrot!

If anyone can shine a light on this, would be kewl!

OMG, Labell, I cant believe it, LOL!
There really IS a bird that barks!

But this one looks like a large duck, and the birdie in the game is definately NOT looking like a duck.
Or a parrot.
Or a cockatoo
Or a beo..

We need some Rival inside information here!

I haven't played it in awhile, but I always thought it was an eagle... looked up the term birdie for golf and found out there are three:

In American slang of the 19th Century, the term "bird" was applied to anything particularly great. "Bird" was the "cool" of the 1800s in the U.S.
So on the golf course, a great shot - one that led to an under-par score - came to be known as a "bird," which was then transformed into "birdie." The term birdie was in worldwide use by the 1910s, and it's believed it debuted in the U.S. in 1899. An "eagle" simply followed "birdie," being added to the lexicon in keeping with the avian image of birdie. And "albatross" later came along for the same reason.

sooo barking birdie lol no clue.... gotta get to the Rival programmers lol

Now you can all laugh at me, but I'm VERY serious, as always! (Ok, mostly)

Labell, the Eagle is also in the game, but thats the (expanding) wild, it makes no sound when it hits.
I mean that bird that triggers the bonus (guess what? The BIRDIE bonus!)
It is sitting on a golfball!
When it hits it BARKS, just play the game and listen!
WRAF!! WRAF!! it does.
WRAF! WRAF! WRAF! means you got the bonusgame!

Btw, in golf, a 'birdie' is 1 under par
Eagle is 2 under par
Albatross is 3 under par
And there is the 'hole in one' ofcourse.

(no, I'm not drunk!!)

Eishagirl, you solved the mystery!!
Thats it ofcourse!

You won a 2nd hand refridgerator, come pick it up here anytime!

I think its because of my neighbour, she has 2 teckels that make exactly the same WHIF,WHAF sound, she only has 2 of these gremlin-like monsters, but they sound like there are 20 of them.

My cat hates them, and she always goes into hyper-alert mode when I'm playing Hole in Lost (won).

Thanks again for clearing things up Eishagirl!! :thumbsup

It sure is funny to know what people are thinking when they play a slot and see the symbols that are used in a game. But, Anton you just really cracked me up.

rofl, I heard that lol... maybe he translated the whif whif as woof woof???

Anton what in the world is a teckel???? oh you know me I've got the google tool bar right here, brb..... omg they're weiner dogs!!!!!!!!!!! lol why didn't you say toe biters lol

omg weiner dogs bring such memories... my daughters childhood book "Pretzel" -

we've adopted a cat - she's learned from the dog how to talk to me at the office door so I can open the door and let her out! We have birds nesting above our bay window - they're driving her crazy.....

And now that you know your game is driving your cat crazy are you going to stop playing? Or simply turn down the volume??

ah the things we do for our animals....
