Thankyou all for the kind words, thoughts and prayers. It is an empty feeling, and I'm at wits end as I'd spend hours there daily. I have the tears in the throat feeling much of the day... but I know this too will pass. I always thought I'd have my motherinlaw to help me through the loss of my mom, but we lost her in January. Two mom's in six months! Anyway I do know she's singing in the angelic choir. Oh what joy it would have been for her to see Our Lord, and my dad, her mom and dad and sisters...
Mom was afraid of dogs her whole life, but when we got our six week old labrador, she grew to care for him too... She'd keep frozen hot dogs for him, so she could feed him a treat by holding the last half inch while offering it. He knew her reticence and he'd appoach her outstretched hand with great caution. During the service on Friday my daughter told me Grams was in heaven feeding him frozen hot dogs!
He met her at the rainbow bridge!
