it was a news story about high ranking firefighter in Oregon being fired cause they did not speak spanish and how they had to do it cause they hired alot of new firefighter that did not speak english, and the officers had to speak spanish to keep their jobs, but the new hires did not have to speak english.

I think I'm more blown away by your camera's Titanic!

I grew up going down South. My Dad was the first white man to have a house in a small village in Baja. A place called Punta Banda. He was approached many times over the years to smuggle people over. Even though he felt thier plight, he wouldn't break the law.

I don't know the answer to the border problems. But I met many who worked for pesos just to buy tortillias!! I used to ask my Dad- why do the mexican women (with small children) look so old? Hard hard work was his answer.

The mexican government is so corrupt- it's sickening!!!

I don't believe people would just leave thier homelands and beautiful homelands and familes just for kicks!
