This release coincides with the start of AGA’s Responsible Gaming Education Month.
The American Gaming Association (AGA) has commenced its Responsible Gaming Education Month (RGEM) by releasing
the new edition of its ‘Responsible Gaming Status and Regulations Guide’.

This is the first time the guide has been updated since 2019, and a lot has happened since then, with the pandemic drastically
affecting the landscape of the gaming industry. The new edition will act as a collection of statutes and regulations in the
34 states and DC, which host commercial casinos, Sports Betting or iGaming (as of July 1 2022).

As mentioned, AGA's guide has missed some key developments; two new states have legalized land based gaming and
16 states have authorized Sports Betting, while an additional two states have legalized iGaming.

The release of this updated edition coincides with the onset of RGEM 2022, which has been expanded from a week to
a month for the first time this year. RGEM 2022 will be organized around four weekly themes that illustrate the industry’s commitment to responsible gaming.

These four themes are: empowering customers to play responsibly; legal, regulated gaming protects players; employees –
the RG Front Line; and advancing responsible gaming with technology.

AGA’s ‘Have A Game Plan Bet Responsibly’ campaign will feature prominently during RGEM, bringing together leagues, teams,
operators and other Sports Betting stakeholders to educate consumers about responsible wagering.

AGA VP Strategic Communications & Responsibility Cait DeBaun commented: “While our members’ responsibility commitments
go above and beyond what is required of them, this guide is a valuable resource for our industry to maintain its high standards
of regulatory compliance in all facets of responsible gaming. We are thrilled for the entire U.S. gaming community to join us throughout September.”
