What is the strategy to win tournaments?

I just can not win, lol I just enetered one that cost $5.00. It was thunderstruck. I hit all the thors, did a rebuy and STILL in 80th place.
Shes, how does anyone win! LOL There must be a strategy I am missing.
Cant believe I got all the thors and was still in 80.

5 Thors should be enough to win something?
Unless its one of those tourneys with 500 or more continues, in that case, to have a chance of winning some, you'll need a very healthy bankroll, a week off from work and a strong stimulant (stronger than coffee, speed will do) to keep you playing 24/7 for a week.

LOL . It is go wild casino. It was an open tournament. Total prize was 300, unlimited entries. The rebuy cost another 5 bucks, and only gave me 3 more min, and I ran out of credits and did not even get 3 min. I could not believe I was in place 80 after all the thors! I think I am done with tournaments! LOL

I can only imagine how disappointed you are! Personally I don't bother playing at Go Wild's tournaments any more as they usually offer way to many continue's.... I know Carey has won the 5000 prize at the weekly 20,000 at one of the other microgamings....

I've been playing a lot at the tournaments at the Vegas Tech casinos... I do believe the only way to win them though is to deposit your 20 or so, and keep rebuying until you hit a good screen... I've come in in the money almost every week that way... also if Caribbean Gold, VIP Slots and Slots Galore offer more generous bonus deposits.... If you pm me I'll tell you my method of increasing my chances... don't want to post it here for fear they'll change lol...

Well, with any Micro tournament you need a healthy bankroll like mentioned before and like to play the tournament for what it is, a tournament. Because if you rebuy the max amount of times, it usually equals the amount of the 1st place prize. Essentially leaving you nothing to win if you had to rebuy the max amount of time to win.


I'll post this here, maybe all of you missed this thread, but last week, Go Wild Casino offered a tournament with no rebuys or continue plays, called the Pure Luck Tournament.


You get like 1 hour and a bunch of chips, and when you either run out of time or chips, you finish where you finish, thats it. This is how those tournaments or at least some of them should run

No rebuy sounds good! They should have a lot of those,lol

Yeah I did a smaller one and did three rebuys. Shoot the top prize was only like 30 bucks, it was a dollar buy in. I ended up paying 6 dollars on rebuys and won 75 cents,lol

Seems like yeah to win you have to buy the prize, not worth it,lol
