It was soooooo scary!!! First time in my life I ever felt a quake in NY! I thought I was hallucinating!! My whole body was slowly rocking like I was on a boat then my kids came running out of their rooms saying mom mom the house is shaking!! We all went outside and didnt know at this point what it was so I didnt want the kids in the house in case my house was about to collapse! LOL We threw the news on right away but nothing....then a few minutes later a special news bulletin came on and said about the earthquake in Virginia. At least we got an explanation and felt much better after that!
I live on the west coast and still have only felt a couple small quakes way back. One of them was pretty big and shook my house. Made me sick to my stomach. The other I was at work and the restaraunt I worked at was shaking. Reallly scary Glad everyone is ok
I live in VA and felt it for like 5 seconds, at 1st, thought nearby train was running, then didn't see it, then was wondering who the hell was on top of our building at work! haha
It kinda reminded me of the wash machine kicking on spin cycle at home lol
I was hoping everyone was okay, I saw someone post it on facebook before I left for home this morning from my vacation - does Virginia normally get quakes?
The President has just confirmed that the DC earthquake occurred on a rare and obscure fault-line, apparently known as "Bush's Fault". The President also announced that the Secret Service and Maxine Waters continues an investigation of the quake's suspicious ties to the Tea Party. Conservatives however believe that it was caused by the founding fathers rolling over in their graves...
