Weekend cooking ?

I like to cook on the weekends ..
This Saturdays menu is BLT's
Sunday I am making salad , Italian bread and my slow cooker meatballs and sauce .
Tonight I am making chicken Alfreado ...using sauce , broccoli ,pasta, sliced diced tomatos and a tiny bit of green pepper cooked with the chicken strips .
I am loving being home to do this ..when I worked constantly I could only cook on the weekends ..course with me not having a pay I dont have alot for food so I shop carefully and with coupons .

Sounds nice silkprint, I keep forgetting to get my slow cooker out, I have it shoved away in a cupboard somewhere, there are so many casserole bases you can buy for them nowadays, they all look so good.

Tonight ..I am not making squat . LOL
I dont know why but my knee hurts . Since November I have had both knees replaced . Last surgery was 3 months ago and now I have a weird pain . I am gonna chill and watch Survivor and The Killing on On Demand .
What sounds good for tomorrow night peoples?

Sorceress..I love my slow cooker and there are so many recipes out there . My family likes things pretty simple so I dont get to experiment alot but comfort food is just the best

Hey Silky,

Talking about your knees............ that's about like mine were hurting yesterday...... but, obviously not like yours. I haven't had any replacements. I can't imagine what that must be like. With me, its' been all my joints lately. I know I need to lose a lot of weight and that's part of the problem.

You need to move to lose the weight, but, it hurts to move, so, you don't and you don't lose the weight. I've gained so much weight since I started several meds about 6 years ago. It's terrible!

So, with that and the arthritis in my spine..... life is such a joy! But, when you consider the alternative.
