Update on Phil

They are getting ready to transfer Phil right now. They said they have done all they can with him in ICU. He needs to be woken up and they will be working on that at the rehab facility. They do have an ICU there and that's where he will be. They still have one nurse for every two patients. The ICU only has four beds so it is a small place only 1 block away from the hospital and his same doctors will still be going there to see him. The nurse told me today that it takes two weeks for every day he was in ICU to recover. He has been there for 19 days since he went in after his one day home. Prior to that it was another 26 days. He has lost 100 lbs. since he went in. Keep praying that when he wakes up everything goes well. Hugs to you all!

Honey I pray every day for you and Fix It Phil, I ask god to make Phil better and to give you the strenth to make it threw every thing.

My mom lives with us, but she is not in good shape. She can hardly get around. Otherwise it is just me and the girls. Believe it or not the only other help I have is my ex-husband. Luckily he is a good man and Phil and him get along. My car hasn't been working through most of this and he has let me use his. He really is there all the time to help and he loves the girls and is real good to them. I laugh about it now but we didn't start out like this. We decided to put our differences aside for the sake of our kids and ended up like family. I like him as a friend much better than a husband. lol

That is one of the reasons I am always so thankful to have you guys to talk me through things. I hate feeling alone but I am thankful for the great kids I have and the online friends, I would have gone crazy without it.

Please try not to worry about the things you have no control over hon. They are professionals and know what they are doing, really

I am so happy to hear that your ex-husband is helping you get through this. It is so nice that to see there are more nice guys in the world! I wish all divorced couples could work it out for the kids sake! You have all of us so you just keep leaning on us Michelle!

They finally got him there and they are going to keep him sedated for the night. I will go there tomorrow and try to find out what the plan is. I can't wait til they can get him awake. I don't want them to work too fast but I sure miss him. Haven't talked to him or at least he hasn't talked to me in 19 days. It feels like forever. I sure miss my coffee buddy.

I cant imagine how you must be feeling Michelle and how hard this must be for you to not have heard your husbands voice for so long. You are a very strong woman indeed! Phil is so lucky to have you. I will pray he does well with the rehab and it doesnt take as long as they are predicting it will. ​
