I finally flew, was so scared, went to Vegas. It was a year after my last heart surgery in 2008. Ended up way in Minneapolis started in Oklahoma, had to catch different planes. Missed our flight even though we were running, catching subways or whatever they are in that huge airport to catch it, and had to stay for 3hrs to catch another plane. Got to Vegas when it was dark, lol. It was also our anniversary. I will never, ever, ever do it again. I almost had a heart attack on that plane, lol. Flying is definitely not for me.

Beaches won two free tickets to anywhere that American Airlines flew, and took me to ARUBA!! This was in the early 90's... I was scared oh so scared... then finally I decided it was like being on a bus, don't sit near a window, and I had a fast Trans Am at the time, loved the roar of the car, so decided the planes engines at takeoff were even better than that... I've flown to Vegas about 12 times since... but not since my daughter was born... I have 7 years till she can go to Vegas with me, and we're going for sure!!!

Flying is great! I admit the first time was scary but after that.... way cool!

The small commuter flights do give me pause to think though. When I managed auto paint stores, I had to fly to Cedar Rapids several times....... it was always on those small planes. Any turbulence was scary!

But the big planes were so cool!
