The National Hockey League and MGM have entered into a multi-year partnership that designates MGM as an official gaming partner and resort destination of the league, commissioner Gary Bettman announced on Monday.
As part of the deal, MGM will have access to the NHL’s advanced game data and intellectual property, including the league and team logos for marketing and promotion.
The United States Supreme Court struck down a federal law that barred betting sports in most states this past May.
The NHL, NBA, NFL and MLB had released a joint statement in April signalling their intent to get involved should sports gambling become legal.
