Irish Open 2011
The Irish Poker Open is the oldest No Limit Texas Hold'em poker tournament in Europe and the 2nd oldest in the world - it was first held in 1981 and only the World Series of Poker can claim a longer history. The tradition continues and Intertops would like to take you there to have a chance on making history!
The Event
The 2011 Irish Open takes place from April 22nd - 25th 2011 at The Burlington Hotel in Dublin City Centre. The buy-in for the main event is set at €3,200 + €300. Last year's winner, 20-year old James Mitchell outlasted 707 other players to cash in first prize of €600,000, Paul Carr finished 2nd taking home €312,600 for his efforts and Santeri Valikoski received €205,200 for 3rd place. Irish Open 2010's total prize pool was €2,265,200, will the number be beaten in 2011's event? Qualify for Dublin to find out!
Satellites
Intertops provides an array of daily satellites which you can find by visiting the Events Tab within the ‘Tournaments’ section. Satellites run daily for our weekly semi-final on Sunday at 2pm EST, starting at one Dollar and ten cents. The final takes place on every last Sunday of the month at 4pm EST and pays out one package per each $7,000 in the prize pool.
Each Intertops Poker $7,000 prize package includes:
•Irish Open main event seat €3,200 + €300 (approx. $4,900) from April 22nd - 25th in Dublin, Ireland.
•Accommodation in The Burlington Hotel (host venue) for 5 nights, €79 x 5 = €395 (approx. $600).
•$1,500 travel cash.
•Tournament gear pack.
Successful package winners who are unable to attend can have the $7,000 paid into their player account.
