i know i'm not the only one waking up this morning to hear everyone talking about this dress and what color it is... and until i read more about it i thought 'who cares?' but the reasons behind it are actually pretty interesting..

so, what color do you all see the dress as? i see blue and black

OMG I see only Gold and White, no matter how many times I look at it, from phone, ipad or computer, its clearly gold and white!! This is crazy that you (along with many others) see black and blue!!

that's so weird!! i have even seen altered images of it that try and make it look more gold and it still looks blue and black to me haha

Yes when I look at the altered pics on that site I can see the black and blue in one of the pics. But only when its altered!

It sure is! I think colorblind people see it as black and blue, my son is colorblind and thats how he sees it!

I only see gold and white, I must ask my son who is also colour blind what he sees

The real dress is blue and back, but the picture is warped with the contrasts and stuff. When I looks at the real dress pictures in like Amazon i see it as blue and black as its supposed to be but the picture circulating around the internet is NOT the same color. Can anyone honestly say they see both these dresses below as black and blue when they are very clearly two totally different colors??

from CNN.. it seems to be an optical illusion lol

As for the dress, by the way, neuroscientists who study color have an explanation for why it appears to be blue and black to some of us, but white and gold to the rest of us. In fancy terms, it has to do with the way in which light enters your eye, the "chromatic axis" variation, thanks to daylight and the fact that different colors have different wave lengths.
