Space Invaders Video Slot Review By Playtech
Space Invaders is a retro video slot available at BGO
Casino and powered by Playtech software. This online video
slot has 5 reels, 3 rows and 10 paylines and can be played on
desktop, mobile and tablet devices.
The slot is based on the 1970's arcade game by the same name
and was a forerunner for modern gaming. It brings back many
memories for me of playing for hours on end. The idea of the
game is to defend your planet against invaders from space.
It even has the feel and look of the original game and the images
are of aliens, spaceships, flying saucers, monsters and planets and
all symbols can be stacked.
One of the features available in the slot is the invaders turn wild,
where the cannon whenever it stops under reels 2 or 4 turns the
low symbols on the reel above into wild symbols to form a winning
combination. The wild symbols pay 2 times and substitute for all
other symbols.
Another feature is the UFO wild feature. If the cannon and the
UFO align the cannon will shoot the UFO. When this occurs a
respin is triggered with added wilds.
I was quite excited to try out this video slot but was a little
disappointed when I played it, I did expect to be able to fire at
the objects myself. But it was nice to be taken back to the early
days of gaming to see one of my favourite games.
