its going to be my wife's and I's first uncelebrated Christmas in our lives, Not to Bring down your guys Season or search for Attention, but Last Dec. 5th, my dad passed away from MRHSA(Hospital based Blood infection) poisoning and septic shock that he contracted from the hospital(Which we are currently Suing the Pants outta for wrongful death and Negligence), So we moved into my parents house to take care of My Glorious Momma who was in her 5th year of Non small cell Lung Lymphoma which quickly advanced to stage 4 and we lost her July 20th in my arms in her own bed in her own house with her own son Caring for her! She feared the most having to be in an Adult adoptive care center or Hospital bed, she went fast for her disease ...awake and talking to unconscious and then in the arms of angels to meet the King. Seems as though Christmas revolved around those two People and without them nothings left But The birth of Jesus and The HOHOHO is gone.Charrish those two people..they mean more to me now than in their lifes. So thats where i been the last 10 months...... OH darnit heres one for the Team...HOHOHOHO MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL

I am so sorry rusty, I also felt the loss of my parents very deeply and was so grateful that I didn't have to put my mum into care, so I know exactly where you are coming from. The pain will ease in time and hopefully next year you and your wife will be able to celebrate Christmas again, and remember the happy times spent with your parents.

As far as getting ready for Christmas I am slowly getting there, just have to buy one more present which is an easy one, wrap one other and get my head around the food. It's all the little extras that you have to remember to buy, in fact I will be heading out soon to see if I can get some extra pork crackling, it has been impossible to get this year for some reason. Wish me luck!

Sorry to hear what you have been going through Rusty. Yes losing a parent is one of the worst things that someone has to experence in their life. My mom died from cancer a little over 2 years ago and although she was at home until the last 3 days when we put her in Hospice it is still just a horrible thing to watch a love one suffer. Her and I were so close and I miss her so much but I am lucky to have a terrific Dad and great sisters. So cherish your loved ones that are still here and lean on them when you need to. Still wishing you a happy holiday.

Thanks all I really wasn't searching for feelings there more so than My silent whereabouts lately but it always comes as a sad story. Moms cancer was rare lung based, but she fought it like a champ, was given year and a half and made it 5 and a half, And her death was Dignified and glorious, For lung cancer , Fortunately her heart gave out and the Oxygen wasn't a slow gasping death, But I will say her heart overworked created this foam Ill never forget...I had To clean her mouth constantly, Death isnt as Hollywood depicts it Ill tell ya that, The Heat her body put off Right before, And How bout Hospice huh, Those guys Where So on point, She went from transitions to full time home care, I was payed to caregiver, But they helped me just as much as her....they still help me...Great people! I hope the Cure for Cancer is at hand...And I cant wait to Catch up to the demon that causes it, goes by the name of Leprosy

So sorry for your loss Rusty. I know how you feel and the deep hatred you have for cancer. I lost my brother to cancer at Christmastime so I know how it feels to struggle to get into the christmas spirit. All I can say is....time does heal. It does get easier, I promise you that. :)HG

Happy to see you back here though!! :deer
