Wow Judyb do you live in Chewelah, Washington. My Father-In-Law lives in Chewelah. He has 60 acres there, pastures and forest. We went out to see him 2 years ago, we are in Ohio. It is a beautiful place and a great town. Just spoke to him yesterday and he said the weather was still bad. What a small world this is. Me and my husband had to move back here to Ohio 7 years ago because of his work but we were from California. Were there all our lives until then. When my Father-In-Law retired he sold his place in the Bay Area and he bought his dream ranch there. How cool is all this??? Stay Warm!!!

I DO! I grew up in the Minneapolis / St. Paul Minnesota area but moved here to Chewelah 34 years ago! I love it here and the weather is usually not as wacky as it is this year!
Cool....so you know what the weather is like back here. It seems like the weather has been really weird everywhere. Tornado's all over back here and not much sunshine but a whole lot of rain along with flooding. Yuk!! I really don't like it back here much but it's where the work is. Your lucky that you live in such a beautiful part of the country. I'm jealous that's for sure. LOL

Bummer about the casino but I usually only win with "Beginner's Luck" so if I went there again I would probably lose. We lived in San Jose and Stockton California and they had an Indian Casino, Jackson Rancheria about 30 miles from us and I never could seem to bring home anything from there and on the weekends it was so packed that you couldn't even find a slot machine to play but the one in Chewelah was a uncrowded and allot of fun.
Anyway my Father-In-Law has been there for about 6 years. He loves it. He is a native of Washington and always dreamed of going back and buying a farm/ranch. He bought it with a house on it but had it completely gutted and redone. It is a beautiful. Yes, when we get back out there we will have to get together. That would be fun.

My sister-in-law lives in Sammamish which is on the outskirts of Seattle. She loves it there. I still haven't been there yet. We only went to visit the northeast part of the state but I hear Seattle is beautiful too. We want to go back soon. I miss the whole west coast as I grew up in San Jose, California but lived all over the state. My favorite thing was going over to Santa Cruz to sit on the beach and watch the ocean. It was only 30 miles from San Jose to Santa Cruz. There is nothing like the Pacific Ocean. Wish I was back there right now. It is storming like hell here today in Ohio. YUK!!!
