I just heard on the news that this Saturday night / Sunday morning, we have to set our clocks back (well if you go by Daylight Savings Time that is, lol) I could have sworn we just set them forward like a month ago. Where does the time go?
It sure did, and each year goes faster and faster... I do love the fall and winter holidays though, so we have lots to look forward to. But I HATE it getting dark at 6pm! We've got light till 10pm in June - get so much more done then... lol
I always loved the fall and winter. The holiday time was my absolute favorite time of the year by far! But then my brother passed away at the very young age of 40 on November 14, it will be 3 years in 11 days and this time of year has just turned into a depressing time for me now. I hope with time I can love this time of year again!
Carey, I'm sure it will take more time, but eventually you will. I think the loss of a brother must be so wretched. We expect our parents to go before us, but our siblings keep us young. But if your brother was anything like you, he wouldn't want you to mourn through the whole holidays. Take the time you need for your grief, then try to enjoy something again. No matter how small.
