Swedish online gaming operator Redbet Holding AB has acquired Heypoker(DOT)com, a gaming site aimed at the Scandinavian and Eastern Europe, from 360 Holding AB for an undisclosed amount.
Redbet Gaming, a subsidiary of Redbet Holding, has acquired Heypoker through an asset deal, which includes the Heypoker(DOT)com site and its customer base of approximately 37,000 registered customers. The acquisition has been paid partly in cash and partly with shares in Redbet Holding AB.
Heypoker(DOT)com, which operates on the Ongame Network, also offers a casino and Sports Betting product, and generated a gross profit of approximately SEK2.7m during the first quarter of this year, of which poker represented the largest part, said Redbet.
“Redbet’s growth strategy is based on both organic growth and acquisitions,” said Jorgen Andersson, CEO of Redbet. “The acquisition of Heypoker strengthens Redbet’s business and accelerates our growth in selected markets.”
Redbet said that it intends to maintain the Heypoker brand and develop the business, with a number of members of the Heypoker team continuing to operate the business together with Redbet.
