Paladino And O'Connell May Soon Enter US Online Gambling Debate

Tea Party candidates are making their presence felt in political arenas around the US. On Tuesday, a pair of Tea Party candidates won their Republican primaries, and both may soon be thrust into the middle of an online gambling debate at the federal and state levels.

Carl Paladino won the GOP nomination to become the next governor of New York. Paladino is a raw talent when it comes to politics, but he will be thrown into the race for governor against Democratic nominee and current Attorney General Andrew Cuomo. The AG is considered to be a heavy favorite to win the position.

If Paladino does pull off the upset, he will likely be dealing with a growing number of people online gambling residents that would like to see the current laws in the US changed. Individual states have started to discuss possibly circumventing federal laws and allowing regulated online poker.
