Please if anyone can let me know if they have cashed an express check at their bank, and if they had any problems? Any comments or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. I cashed out alittle over $500, at InetBet and received an email stating they were having problems sending wire transfers to US banks, and would be sending my winnings thru FedX and would be receiving my fedx number sometime tomorrow afternoon. Was really hoping my winnings would have been wired right into my ck acct. just alittle worried i won't be able to cash the check. hope my bank accepts it. Thanks, violet57

If your bank would accept the wire, why would they not cash the check? Unless the bank or company the check is from is blacklisted in banking circles the bank will cash it.

Violet I received my first check last week, from another casino, and was a little hesitant to take it to my bank. But it was in US funds and I did NOT cash it, I deposited it to my checking account. It was free and clear to use the next day. At least at my bank, the teller will give you a "harder" time when cashing something rather than simply depositing it. Even getting cash back on the deposit changes the way they handle it. I know some don't understand our trepidation, but I do... I just went through the drive through, handed my endorsed check, deposit ticket and drivers license through the chute and she didn't bat an eye...

The only problem might be if the check says:

THIS MONEY WAS MADE BY ONLINE GAMBLING

And Judy, I swear I thought that it would have a big bullseye on it lol.... I can laugh at myself now, but not then!

You have to remember most tellers do not even look at the sender. And it will never have anything to do with casino on the check. but as safety measures take, most banks will allow you to take a percentage of your check until it clears but best practice never spend the money or write checks on it until it has completely cleared.

The bank i use, BOA, i deposit checks through the ATM, that way you don't even have to talk to the tellers and answer any of their nosey questions. I do almost all of my banking through the ATM and computer.

if you go to a cash checking place, they will take like 2%-5% of it. My husband once cashed out $500 from a online poker room an received a check, it cleared with no problem, but that was like 3-4 yrs ago.


The ATM option it also allows you $300 credit right away, and the rest until it clears(usually by the next day or so)


If someone asks, tell them you did some work for an online company and its your paycheck hehe

People market and get checks all the time! You could be getting paid for free lance internet marketing work.... its none of their business but I say dep it direct as well don't cash it.

I won $5,000 last year from Intertops and they sent me two checks for $2500 each, Had no bank account and went to a check cashing place where they looked at me very strange and said they had to call the check company for proof, Then they tell me the check is made out to another person and not me.

Went to another check cashing place and they straight out said no! We will not cash these here.

So I had to call Intertops and tell them what was going on, Then they wired the money to my Wired Plastic card and I was happy.

Check cashing places will give you more hassle than any bank IMO.

I racked up a little over $200.00 at Club World and was going to ask for a check, the minimum for a check is even $350.00!!

That sucks!
