LONDON, England -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- eCOGRA recognised and trusted online casino reviews' website, Oggs.com, announces the winners of its Global Online Casino Awards during London's IGE & ICE 2009 week, with winners in several markets including the U.S. and UK and also Best New Slot and Best Casino Promotion.

The judging of the 2008 online casino awards placed great emphasis on how well the online casinos and their games played, their customer service levels, ease of cashing out for players and other important aspects of playing online casinos. One panel member remarked, "2008 saw a massive leap in the professionalism and dynamism of the major online casino operators and their online gaming solution providers. Graphics, audio, gameplay and customer service levels have truly been the outstanding areas in 2008."

With the UIGEA ban in the U.S. taking more of a hold in 2008, the casinos and solution providers battened down the hatches and proved that the industry was far from dead, deciding to offer online gambling opportunities in greater variety and depth. A number of operators closed their doors to U.S. citizens, whilst other online casinos like Rushmore Casino, Cherry Red Casino and Slots Oasis Casino threw open theirs' and welcomed U.S. players from all over.

The gaming industry in 2009 will be hoping the new U.S. President, Barack Obama, has time to re-look at the laws associated with U.S. online gambling, and at least repeals the 2006 UIGEA Bill. In the meantime, the online gaming industry is showing that it is far from dead, forging ahead offering greater opportunities, professionalism and diversity for players and companies alike.

Oggs.com has the pleasure of revealing and congratulating its 2008 Global Online Casino Winners and Runners Up.

Best U.S. Online Casino 2008 - Winner: iNetBet (RTG software), Runner-up: Club USA
