Last Friday nite I was jonsin' for a candy bar. I threw on some sweats, brushed my teeth and hair and was going across the street to grab one.
I get downstairs and see all these cop cars a couple of vans etc. etc. When I got the attention of one of the cops, I told him where and what I wanted to do. He say's " sorry mama, the whole block has been evcuated, someone called in a bomb threat. News to me!! I didn't hear a thing. From the street you can't see my little sancutary, but I said really?? Yes mama, please take your vehicle and leave for about an hour, if it's clear we'll be gone.
L.A.P.D. at it's finest!! Not to mention our tax $$'s! I would have heard cops or a bull horn or whatever they use in these matters!
I came home and all was fine. Don't get me wrong, the majority of LAPD are good cops with too much to do and not enough money or people. I could NEVER be with a cop in L.A. - worring sick everythime they went to work!!
I just went to grab something and see a bunch of cop cars at Ventura Blvd. I'm gonna have a quick look bathrobe and all. If there's more activity then I'll find out the deal.
There are a ton of upscale restaurants on the blvd. I thought " couldn't you get outta work a more mellow way?" Or if it's someone with toooooo much time on thier hands, I hope they find them. Hmmmmm.... What would be a good punishment???
It's almost 1 am and I really don't feel like sitting in my car in CVS drugstore!!!!
And have a cool yule one and all-

P.S. I was going to add the road rage grumpy smile, but was too late. We were all driving around super unimpressed!! And OMG- if L.A. was N.Y. I think they'd have to remove the horns- no patience at all!!!

around closing time these yaboos want to let the world know how drunk and dumb they are. Couple times, I've woken up to drunken yelling. And I gotta say MOST of the time, the chicks are the worst!! If your getting in a car and have had a drink the last thing I'd want to do is draw any attention!!! I think I've called the cops once or twice in the 4ish yrs. I've lived here-- and I'm not one to "drop a dime"
