I organised the family to buy me a treadmill for Christmas this year, but my son msgd me today to ask if I would like a Wii Fit instead, I was hesitant at first but then thought about the advantages of the smaller size in my lounge room so am going to give it a go. I just wondered if anyone else has one or has used one who could give me their thoughts on it.

I have one, it is great if I can motivate myself. If you can get yourself motivated it does not matter what you use, if you cant at least this one will hide well, lol
Its a hack of a lot cheaper than a treadmill too!

Thanks for that Judy, yeah I got a small lounge and that's the only spot to put a treadmill and it would be in the way terribly.

We bought a wii when they first came out. I loved the bowling game. We gave it to my sister in law when she came to visit us but my husband just bought another one from his friend. I am in the same boat about the wii fit. I am gonna buy it and try it at least:p I will let you know if I have good results. Wish me luck, I want to lose at least 25 pounds.:deer

We have one but got the sports package instead. Love the tennis and bowling lol, but haven't done it in forever. Mom's nursing home used the bowling one for therapy ;)

One year we adopted an older dog, I started walking her one block a day, in all weather, to help her adjust. Within 4 months I'd lost 25 pounds, without changing anything else. A dog stares at you till you get the leash out lol, and it's a living guilt reminder.... I've learned to ignore the current one, but would be better off to take her everyday too....

Well Paul bought his with him for the weekend for me to try, well after doing the fitness bit first I was so depressed, would you believe my wii age was 75!!!!! Anyway after switching it off for a bit I went back and started the exercises only lasted 5 mins - my back was starting to hurt plus everything else. I think it will be okay but as you all say you have to keep motivated, but boy is it going to be a long haul!

I got a wii when I hit the progressive 2 years ago. Bought a bunch of games. After 6 months I sold it. I didn't like it at all. Apparently I have lost my coordination. I just couldn't handle having to use both hands independantly to play games! Bring me a Nintendo and I'll game my azz off, tho!
