I got one of these calls once and I reckon I have been put on a "Do Not Call List" as I didn't go anywhere near my machine but chatted for about an hour about the disgraeful nature of people who would dare to try and take control of my machine looking for a cheap, illegal payday.
The guy played along seriously either not equating what I was saying with himself and exactly what he was doing or seriously thinking at some point I was going to relent, finish and let him do the exact thing I was claiming so abhorent.
At the end of the conversation during which I am pretty sure he had his dinner......I asked him what he thought and in true scripted fashion he told me he agreed with what i said entirely and felt the deepest of compassions for my troubles, then started to try to revert back to his diatribe again at which point I cut him off and told him that if he sympathised with me so much he should probably find a job that doesn't entail trying to do the exact thing he just agreed was an act of disgrace nd indecency.
I then told him if h ever called back I would use my virused PC, protected by Microsoft from whom he claimed to be, to record the call, and would take it to the police......or worse.....his supervisor..... dun dun dun.
They ever called back.
I do similar with all salesmen too. Why get stressed by the calls when you can have so much fun with them all. Nothing better than enthusistically giving salesmen every green light there is only to tell them in the same enthusistic voice after an hour that you have absolutel no intetion to purhase anything, never did, but just fancied a chat with someone as nothing was on TV and the night was empty.
Ah, the true personality of a salesman can be found at the end of such calls.
