May Flies

Not sure if you have ever heard of May Flies. Here is a picture of a bridge not far from where I live that crosses the Susquehanna River. What you see is the bridge covered with the May Flies.

Sheesh that's a heap of them. We have something called March flies here and they are really big

That's a bunch. We've not seen anything to compare. Closest thing are the bats at Carlsbad Caverns.

I do think bats are cute as long as they are not flying around.

I read that Wisconsin gets them really bad also. It is disgusting.

yeah, we got them pretty bad, especially along the mississippi river
and yes, they are disgusting, lol
