Ladbrokes blast from the past!

Wow, I saw Ladbrokes Casinomentioned in the freebie section and boy did it take me back to the good old days. Back before I knew I had it so good with being able to play anywhere I wanted.

I was new to online casinos and I don't know whether it was a free chip or if I actually deposited but I sceptically tried to cash out $50 from Lad's. I was so leary of these "new online casinos" that I did not even furnish my correct birthdate, fearing I'd be scammed or spammed. LOL When I won the $50 I had a little snag and had to pony up the real ID's.

A couple of weeks later I got a check in the mail and I was hooked! Good 'ol ladbrokes, can't even play there now.

Back in the day I only liked the casinos where you didn't have to download the software. I played at Galaxiworld, and Star something or other. And I remember winning $1000 at Golden Palace (ye olde Microgaming) and reversing most of it!

Omigosh and I remember hitting up like 20 playtechs and getting freebies, not even knowing what the heck a T and C was. LOL Clearly the subject never came up as I didn't win. Actually I learned about the hook on bonuses from Galaxiworld, they comped me $1 with my deposit and when I tried to cash out I was told I had to go back and gamble s'more. So I did and lost the cash out!

Can you imagine sending a check home for $50?? Nowadays, it's so much trouble to deposit that that would just go into my Quicktender for play money.

Oh and remember GFED? That awful game where you collected the diamonds on the dragon? A Gfed casino, Casino USA (last surviving US) actually got me my Quicktender account! I didn't quite know what it was about, so when I deposited I did not make up for the surcharge. I ended up with $19 and change and could not deposit anywhere including the GFed casino that referred me! LOL :money

Finally I think I turned to Streak here and someone tipped me about InetBet Casino, where then you could deposit like $1 or 2, then I was hooked again! RTG Whoo hoo!!

GFed's and Playtechs banned US, turned rogue and faded away. At least for me. :titanic

After that I didn't play for a few years. Until Intertops Casino(Green!) sent me a CD with a $100 bonus....

LOL, I remember those days well as many of our members will. Things have changed so much over the years. Most for the better. My first online experience was also Lassiters. I won like $3000 and they sent me a check. I remember being so nervous that my bank would not cash it, lol. It went through and I was so happy (and so totally hooked on online gambling, lol) I think I had deposited $25 to win that. Actually it may have been a free chip back then, I can't remember.

Yeah they were the good old days weren't they, I also went through all the gfed casinos, had no clue either about the T & C's. I didn't realise Lassiters had closed, I think that was an Aussie one and I couldn't play there.

I miss Lasseters too. First time I played there I cashed out for 2500.00. Got the check in just a few days and had no problem cashing it.

I can remember the first Royal Phil and I hit. Golden Palace gave him 100.00 free and I was playing Ace's and faces poker. He was in the kitchen cooking dinner (good man lol) and I said I wonder if anyone ever hits a royal on these things. A few minutes later I was screaming and he came running over and moved me from the computer. I had a royal sitting there for 2000.00. He was so afraid that I would touch something a blow it. lmao. He called them to find out how we could get the money. It took them a month to send a check but boy was that exciting. We have hit many royals since then but the first was the most exciting.
