Oh ya- I called her last Sat. nite. I'm going to get some candles from dreamypleasures to send Exene and needed her adress. Talked for a couple minutes, then she said "Liz, we're going on in 3 minutes, I'll email you!" I thought that was very cool- 3 min. before the curtain call!!!

Here's a link if anyones interested....

I have all respect and gratatude for all the music and all the bands they've brought out!!! About 25 yrs. ago the opening act were these guys who couldn't really play- we went to the beer garden.. You may know them- The Red Hot Chilli Peppers ;)

http://77square. com/music/ features/ story_455257 A friend sent this link, I read it and for some reason it's taking me to a different page. I'll fix it later. The link takes you to a road runner page if you click the second one down- 77 SQUARE - surrounded by reality- under music click the third box and thats the interview.

I've been a grateful fan for close to 30 years.. Sorry if I'm boring bou't it, can't help myself!!!

Peace,
Liz

You haven't listened to X?????? A very important band "...the last american band to get played on the radio..." Los Angeles, Blue Spark, Johhny Hit and Run Pauline, More Fun in the New World- great songs and albums. X was a very unique band with a male and female vocalist and lyrical imagery reminiscent of a Raymond Chandler novel. Dark, gritty, cynical yet clinging to hope for a change in awareness of the minds of it's listeners and beyond. X never achieved the acclaim that its fans and music critics felt they should have but were destinied to become legends in the underground music scene and maybe that's okay too. One of the best american bands to come out of the punk genre at least as far as musical maturity and the last underground band before it all became radio friendly and safe.
