I just wanted to say that I'm sorry I haven't been able to deposit much and enter the contests like I usually do. My ex is taking me back to court and trying to lower the child support!!! (Like feeding my two teenage boys is cheaper now that they eat three times as much!!) So, I have had to lower my deposit amounts which leaves me out of the contests. I NEVER use my child support to play, I do use a small portion of my disability though, and since I had to use my monthly gambling alotment for food.... that made it so that I HAD to reduce my deposit amounts to minimums (ie: $20 or less)... SO ... I am very sorry Streak. :shucks
What sucks the most is a year ago, I hired lawyer (with everything I had saved up 2 grand!! and he did NOT do one thing that I hired him for!! (my ex is literally certifiable... and sadly even my boys know this!) One of the things I wanted was sole legal custody (I already have sole physical custody) But... the lawyer took my money and didn't bring up ONE issue I hired him for!!):rodrgelive and learn... I represented MYSELF against his lawyer for 15 years.. but the big issues kept getting ignored by the judge. I put my trust and savings into proper representation and I got screwed!!
Anyway... I am sorry and as soon as I am back on my feet (so to say, cuz I am disabled) I will be entering the contests again because I could not go without supporting The Streak!! You guys work so hard for us!

I am so sorry to hear about your struggles lately hon! Unfortunately it is one that so many women can complain about these days. Trying to raise children alone is so hard. I myself know how much teenage boys cost just to feed as I had three boys that were all teenagers at the same time. Hang in there and do the best you can and your boys will know who to thank when they are older. As for depositing and entering contests? Please, that should be the last thing you think about right now hon. Take care of yourself and your kids and please keep posting, we are all here for some moral support for each other also :hug

I know exactly how you feel precious. My ex does not give me child support and I have to support my 2 teen boys by myself so I know how much it costs! We totally understand that you cannot deposit like you used to and the Streak will always be a home for you to come and just hang out and chat with us all.:hug

So sorry you are going through this. I am also going through a terrible!!! divorce however it does not involve CS because my children are over 18 and in my state once they graduate or are 18 CS stops. I do have a daughter in college and my STBX doesn't give her a dime so yes I guess I am supporting her all by myself. I know that mine is they way he is because he thinks he is hurting me and I will let him off easy. Not the case its the kids that suffer no matter how old they are. Just remember Karma is a b**** and your kids know who has their backs. As far as your feeling bad about not being able to deposit and support the Streak I am sure everyone totally understands and you are just being responsible by putting your kids first before yourself. Even though you can't deposit and play you can still be apart of this forum and let everyone know how you are doing.

Precious.....Just know that everyone feels for you. Your children know the score and will remember how you have taken care of them.

My mother (we call her the "wise woman") always said that my brothers when they were teenagers had "hollow legs" and that was why they ate so much!

Know that many prayers and thoughts are with you!

Trust us hon, it's like that all over the place for single moms, I to am raising two boys one which is disabled, my child support is $26 a month yes that is not a typo that is $26 A MONTH... I haven't deposited much in the past year either, and now it's even lower due to Christmas being here almost. Do not fee guilty when you put your children first. I smoke and have been known to go days w/o cigs so the boys can have something extra... It's all about being a mom.

I know all your feelings well :)

That is SO true!!
Thank You ALL for all the support, understanding and kind words, as well as words of encouragement!! My boys are very aware of who takes care of them, who looks out for thier best interest, etc. I actually overheard my oldest son yelling at his dad the other day saying "every dime of child support goes to buy us food and clothes... but you don't want us to have anything that we need!" Although I would prefer that they have a good relationship.. I honestly couldn't have been any prouder of him then I was at that moment because of the way he worded it and spoke so "factually" ... :thumsup gosh they grow up so fast!

I grew up with a wonderful mom and dad who were married 50 years last year a couple months before my mom passed away so to see my children go through a horrible divorce of their parents is sooo sad and I couldn't imagine what its like. My daughter said to me the other month.. "you had a great childhood how would you of liked it if your parents got a divorce and you had a dad like mine" Its just sooo sad for these kids and we all try to do the best we can and bite our lips...that is bite our lips really hard until they fall off our face.

And yes the kids eventually get "it" and will know that YOU will always be there for them and take care of them. Just hang in there and know that you are not alone going through this. It seems like alot of us have been there or are there.
