I just saw this the other day...
Saturdays Nights at the Getty: See How We Are: An Evening with John Doe & Exene
Date: Saturday April 25, 2009, at 7:30 pm - 9 pm
Location: Harold M. Williams Auditorium, Getty Center
Admission: Sold Out
John Doe and Exene Cervenka created one of punk's most influential bands, X. This evening's concert is a rare opportunity for John and Exene to showcase their lifelong collaboration through acoustic guitar and vocals. They will be performing material from their respective solo projects as well as from the bands The Knitters and X.
When I saw SOLD OUT, my heart dropped to miss this once in a lifetime event.
So, I decided to go to the source. Emailed Exene to see if they even had a guest list and could she add me. I just got this a couple hrs. ago....

If you'd have told me even 10 yrs. ago that I'd be talking to her, nevermind the rest, I would have thought- sure! Think of your favorite artist and getting the chance to see them, meet them and become close enough to exchange emails and now phone #!! I'm not star-struck, but I sure am honored!!
The night is called "SEE HOW WE ARE"... That is the name of one of the best songs if not THE best that they've written together. Just a great take on humanity, I believe.
Here's a link to the song, if anyone wants a listen.
