American computerised gaming equipment designer and manufacturer International Game Technology (IGT) has launched a customer-facing MegaJackpots mobile app after signing an agreement with mobile and social technology firm Joingo.
Reno-based IGT stated that its new service utilises the Mobile Application Platform from San Jose-based Joingo and has become its first US customer-facing mobile brand offering players immediate access to real-time jackpot levels and information on ‘their favorite MegaJackpots products’.
“With identical stand-alone apps utilising ‘push’ technology for iPhone, Android, and Blackberry plus mobile web and MMS/SMS for feature phones, IGT can seamlessly reach 99 percent of mobile users, [which is] an exceptional feat in the very fragmented mobile domain,” said Steve Boyle, Chief Executive Officer for Joingo.
