My friend told me about a unique group called Angel Food Ministries recently. They were founded about 10 years ago to help families. She was waiting to place an order, and it arrived today. She called me up the street to see the quality, variety and quantity that was included... I was blown away by the freshness and quality....

Once a month you can order a box of high quality fresh and frozen food to feed a family of four for a week for $30 - yep thirty dollars. And there are no qualifications - anyone can order and buy. They have specialty boxes, holiday boxes, all beef, all meat all chicken specials... its pretty amazing to me...

I can attest to the quality of the fresh and frozen foods that my friend got today... anyway some of you may know families in need right now that could use this .... so I thought I'd post it here.... take care everybody, labell

Wow, what a great site hon. Thank you for posting this. It is getting harder and harder for families to make ends meet these days and for some things like this are the only way they can survive. :friends

Thanks for the post labell, yes some families are in desperate need all over the world, perhaps when you have a big win you could think about placing an order and helping a needy family, Christmas time is coming up and that is always the most difficult time.

We have that where I live, here in Texas. It is GREAT food that they offer. My church also does something on Sunday nights ... All the needy families in our small town get a HOT, NUTRICIOUS meal for FREE. And the grocery store here gives our church all the almost expired food and the dented cans and such, and they give out "food boxes" to the needy. It has helped our family out tremendously as I am on disability and that is the only income coming into my household of 6 people. Thank God for things like the Angel Food Ministry and churches to help people in need.

Yes very true dennis, our church also has a weekly collection of food items which is given to a local community group called Food Share, it is quite good, you actually go and get the food yourself, so you can make choices on what you want.

Judy I was amazed at the wonderful food in person and on the site... I'm eyeballing the steak box for next month lol

yeah awesome post dear, i have seen this while taking a friend to the local social serives place. I was reading it ovr and yes, the amount and quality of food you can get is just awesome for people in need. I think anyone can take advantage of this but i decided not to as i wasn't that needy,and figured leave anything i would buy for the next family a little less fortunate than me.


But none the less, another great program put together by people that just want to help.
