I sold my first piece!!

Ok- so I've been crafting, one cause I like to do it and a push to get back in was I just don't have the funds to gamble like I used to.. I'm getting stuff ready for the Ojai music fest 08 coming up in about 8 weeks.

Well- One of the hairdressers downstairs loves animal print. I had a small pot, she asked for a larger one, colors changed. I just showed it to her, it's still tacky, she loves it and is going to buy it for 25.00! WooHoo

I tend to doubt myself and need to run things by FREINDS who won't B.S. me, ya know REAL FRIENDS!! So, I brought some of my stuff to a life long friend and her girlfreind- they loved what I had and told me "you need to sell this for more, (a frame, box or whatever).

Now- another friend is gonna bang out some businessCARDSto take to the festival.. Any comments or improvements would be totally appreciated!!

WooHoo Yay Liz! That is wonderful hon. I know what you mean about doing something for extra money. It HAS to be something I love to do. I needed a way to make extra money myself, living on a fixed income. I am NOT crafty at ALL. BUT I LOVE to do things on the computer. So, that is why I work here. I get to do the stuff I love, make a few extra bucks and learn even more as I go along.

I also plan to take pics of all or most of the stuff I make, like a portfolio- i guess?

Judy- I really admire what you do. I think you're a whiz kid!!! And it's stuff I can't or haven't learned yet. Maybe you guys have a spot as a "greeter" could answer simple posts, or welcome when you guys are slammed.. Will work for experience!! Just a thought???
