I don't know about anyone else, but I am feeling snowed under at the moment with all the Christmas preparations. I just feel like I am getting nowhere with it all, which can't be true. Also what sort of meal is everyone having for Christmas and who are you celebrating with? I thought I would share mine with you.

I still haven't decided what to do for Christmas lunch, I can either stay home alone or go to a bbq with a bunch of people I don't know, I will have to make a decision tomorrow. Christmas tea we are actually going to have a bbq as I know all the family aren't going to be super hungry, so I got so nice steak and am going to make some chicken shaslicks and marinade them, and have ordered a cheesecake and will make salads and a chocolate ripple cake. I will be having both my sons and fiance/girlfriend.

The following day, we are going to have cold meats, ham, pork, chicken and salads, and as well as sons and gfs my ex husband will be there.

I am most grateful that we will be having a cooler Christmas this year - there is nothing worse than having a hot 100 deg farenheit/45 deg celcius day.

I cannot even imagine having a hot Christmas Anne! LOL

I am having family over on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. On the eve we always do the seafood dinner, its a catholic tradition. So we got some shrimp, scallops, lobster tails, crabcakes........yummy!

A quiet Christmas for me, just my parents coming over ... and we are going to eat in a restaurant, no cooking fortunately..

A hot Christmas would be a nice change, but that won't happen here in Amsterdam!

Happy Holidays all!

I am thinking of going to Careys house, I love seafood! Of course it may be a long walk as she lives on the east coast and I live on the west coast, lol GG22

I would love to be able to sit down and eat some shrimp or lobster but I am allergic to shellfish! It's funny too,I wasn't allergic to it until I hit my 30's.

I have been so busy I can't think straight most of the time! I have to prepare a big dinner for Christmas. And still trying to finish off gifts.I''m giving some of my neighbors I'm closer to homemade cookies and candy.

Saturday will be a restful day (I hope!).

That sounds so nice Carey and really it is the sort of thing we should have here instead of cooking the traditional roast dinner in the heat in the middle of the day. Cas my girlfriend does the cookery thing for all her friends too, I just couldn't do it with everything else there is to do around this period.
