About chicken sex????

David and I were talking about this a few weeks ago and I decided to look it up.

I mean, when you see a documentary about chickens. There are chickens everywhere, but, no roosters. How do they lay eggs?? Don't they need the roosters? My grandpa use to tease my ex and me about not having a rooster in our hen house because we waited for 5 years to have a baby.

When I first asked David about this, he thought for a few minutes and then said "I don't know"

I thought maybe they had all the roosters in another barn and they'd "hook-up" at night...lol!!

The chicken came first, (at least if you are a catholic thats what we believe) because god created animals. ​

The chicken came first haha i also think in that way . Anyway , it also miracle because i used to think that after one night , the egg will laid , just like my beloved fish ........ one night , and tomorrow you wait up , look at fews tiny babies in the tank

I was just thinking about this thread and, you know, being a chicken laying an egg......... wouldn't that be about the same (i.e....PAIN) as a woman giving birth EVERYDAY???

I mean, if you compare sizes........ chicken--egg, woman---baby???

Chicken must have a high pain tolerance!!

NO NO NO The egg came first!!

And this TRUE Fact is gonna make you all go OMG!!

Dinosaurs laid eggs!! Long b4 there was KFC!!


And Roosters are only needed if your hens are going to sit there eggs to hatch! otherwise you get those lil blood spots in the egg that grosses ya out when you crack it in a pan!
Hens will lay as many as 2 dozen eggs a day per hen and if cared for right will lay for a good 8 years!
