It’s the Soldier, not the politicians,
Who ensures our right to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.

It’s the Soldier who salutes the flag,
Who serves beneath the flag,
And whose coffin is draped by the flag.

I'm a vet and I thank you.

Of course to be honest there are things about veterans day that irks me and a lot of my fellow vets. Like when a president who has no clue what it's like to be in combat makes speeches about duty and sacrifice when he can't relate in any way shape or form. But there I go with my rambling again. The older I get the more I seem to do that. hmmmm I wonder if the two are related.
