Anybody else see this mornings news on Kennedy. Now that he has been diagnost with cancer he is already drafting an update to the 1971 cancer research bill. WTF. Why does it take one of the rich and famous to get this dreaded disease in order to get more research going...Just pisses me off to no end. What if he did'nt have cancer?? Would he just let people keep dying and say its not my problem I don't have cancer. I know this should be in pimp slapped but I wanted to hear some chat about this backasswards world of ours. If Bush had cancer there would be an all out WAR on it.. GO FIGURE

I agree hon. If he did not have cancer this would NEVER have come up. I just believe that unless someone goes through something as horrible as cancer, or watches a loved one go through it (or any other horrible disease or illness) they do not even think of it at all. Sad but true.

These are the only kennedys I could find that had cancer.

Edward Moore Kennedy Jr., born Sept. 26, 1961. Right leg amputated in 1973 because of cancer. Married Katherine Gershman in 1993

Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis died May 19, 1994, of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, a cancer of the lymphatic system. She was 64

The REAL DEAL.... MONEY TALKS! PERIOD! And when you have status, that up's the volume!!

When I was going to Boston for my check up's (17 yrs. ago) prior to my bone marrow transplant I asked Dr/Scientist Lee Nadler some questions. This man is tops in his field with lymphomia.

It was brought up in my cancer support group that A LARGE percentage of people in the deep south still thought cancer was contagious. When I heard this, I thought "OMG, what chance do people with HIV stand??"

I brought the subject up with Lee (as he liked to be called) He said to me- "Liz, if AIDS had hit the white uperclass hetro's don't kid your self, they would already have a cure" Out of the mouth of a man who my oncolgist here sent me to and said he's the man, he will probably win a Noble Peace Prize for finding a cure for this type of lymphomia! No "junk yard Dr.'s here!

You think the big pharmacy companies want cures?? If you do, I suggest more research!!! I'm very fortunate that my Dr.'s are not "pimps' for the pharmacy companies!

It's all about the money!!!

Thanks for the post JJ!!

Bad day for me to read the news but bear with me. I have to say it.

Bush asks for war rebuilding support ..

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - President George W. Bush said Wednesday that rebuilding Iraq and Afghanistan as the wars rage on is proving difficult and "we're learning as we go."
The president harkened back to the patriotic sacrifice of World War II, the deadliest conflict in history, in again suggesting the country must hold firm and not lose its nerve.
"After World War II, we helped Germany and Japan build free societies and strong economies," Bush said. "These efforts took time and patience, and as a result, Germany and Japan grew in freedom and prosperity. Germany and Japan, once mortal enemies, are now allies of the United States. And people across the world have reaped the benefits."

Ya you bet ya georgie!!! We hav'nt even barely touched New Orleans from Katrina Just to name one rebuild jobs we need here in the USA.
A billion a day for them and How Much For OUR COUNTRY????
How about Sauidi Arabia, Did'nt we help them be Prosperous at some point?? If not we sure as hell are now!!
Thats why they are helping This country go broke by charging us exzorbinate prices for oil cause we are such a prosperous country. F****************** Ok I'm done for now. But I can't watch anymore news...I would surely go MOWAAAAKOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!
