In parallel to GSOP X, Ongame Network continues with The Grand Series of Poker Mini.The structure and rules follow the same format as GSOP X but with the buyins set to approximately 10% of the numbers in GSOP X. The guaranteed prize pool is $450,000 in total with buyins starting as low as $5.
Each event winner receives a Grand Slam ticket and players also earns points towards a leaderboard where the leaderboard winner gets a Gram Slam ticket. The top 100 players will get a chance to compete for three more tickets to the final Grand Slam Final event with a buy-in of $5,000 and guaranteed prize pool of $500,000.
The Grand Slam Final will take place Sunday 17 March 20:00 CET, the weekend after the last Event.
The leaderboard scores points are based on a formula where players that enter in many events will be awarded more than just the occasional win of a big event. It is more rewarding to compete in all events in order to finish high in the final leaderboard. All players in the field will be awarded points towards the leaderboard.
The formula is:
Points = ((PrizePool0,2) / (PlaceFinished0,5))*10

GSOP Sidebet!
As in previous editions of GSOP, we are offering players the chance to place a sidebet against other high rollers. We will run a GSOP Sidebet event with a buy in of $1000+0. To make the sidebet even more attractive, we have added a $500+25 ticket for the $300,000 Guaranteed GSOP Event 17 to the winner of the Sidebet Registration tournament. We have made the Sidebet commission free, meaning players can bet on their own poker skills.
The GSOP Sidebet Registration will run as a Mad Tilt tournament at 19:00 CET 24 January with a $500+25 ticket added to the winner and it will also award everyone the same ticket; ‘GSOP Sidebet’. The hand out of a ’GSOP Sidebet’ ticket to players will be a confirmation of their participation in the sidebet. All the players with a GSOP Sidebet ticket will be competing in a sidebet for the best position in the GSOP leaderboard. After the last GSOP event has been played on March 10, the sidebet players with the highest scores in the GSOP leaderboard will win their share of the sidebet prize pool.
