Leading online poker room Full Tilt Poker
has announced a deal with Fertitta Interactive that could see the pair jointly run a regulated Internet poker domain for US-based players should Congress ratify federal legislation currently being considered.
Fertitta Interactive was established last year by brothers Lorenzo and Frank Fertitta of Station Casinos Incorporated and Ultimate Fighting Championship fame in partnership with Tom Breitling and Tim Poster, the Las Vegas casino executives and founders of Travelscape.
Breitling revealed that Fertitta Interactive has no relationship with Station Casinos and that the Las Vegas-based casino chain would not be involved in the new partnership.

“We are firm believers in regulation and think that the time is now for online poker to be legalised, taxed and regulated,” Breitling told The Wall Street Journal newspaper.
Licensed in Alderney, Full Tilt Poker
is provided with software by Dublin-based Tiltware and affiliated firm Pocket Kings Limited. Ray Bitar, Chief Executive Officer for Tiltware, told The Wall Street Journal that the alliance with Fertitta Interactive would see the site continue to operate in the US under the same name. He added that the partnership ‘exists to promote a federal regulatory regime’, specifically one that would see Nevada casino regulators in charge of licensing and regulation, and could benefit from cross-marketing with Ultimate Fighting Championship.

This deal makes this the second partnership deal of its kind announced over the previous seven days as land-based casino operator Wynn Resorts Limited signed a similar agreement with PokerStars late last week. That union will see the two jointly run a site at PokerStarsWynn.com for American players should Congress approve online poker.
