Dragonfish, Playtech and Microgaming shared the honours at last night’s eGR B2B Awards 2011, each taking home two trophies from the black-tie ceremony held at Chelsea Football Club in London.

In the second edition of the event held to recognise the achievement and innovation of the sector’s service providers over the past 12 months, 888’s Dragonfish B2B arm beat off stiff competition from Playtech to pick up the coveted bingo supplier and poker software awards. One judge said: “They made the software usable for professional players but also made it great for beginners. A fantastic achievement.”

Playtech’s Virtue Fusion bingo platform however edged out Dragonfish to take home bingo network of the year. The casino specialist also took home RNG casino supplier of the year award, in a ceremony hosted by former Sky Sports presenter Richard Keys in front of an audience of more than 500 guests.

Microgaming also added poker network of the year to its award for innovation in slot provision, with judges recognising that its “significant improvement in a tough vertical made Microgaming the stand-out winner”.

Net Entertainment, IGT and Evolution Gaming triumphed in the remaining casino categories, picking up the Innovation in RNG casino software, slot provider and live casino supplier awards of the year.

It was honours even in the affiliate categories for the second year running, Income Access taking home the affiliate network trophy, a feat reproduced in the affiliate software category by Netrefer.
