This link I just love the song by Old Crow Medicine Show. I heard it years before I saw the video, kinda corny but these guys and musicians of my time are keeping the spirt of Merle, Johnny, George Jones, Hank etc. etc. alive and exciting!!

I ADORE this song!! Great version, John's having a blast. His X partner x wife Exene Cervanka wrote the lyrics and said John, I think this is a song! I heard them do it life last Friday!

He is one of the most sexy men!!! And he has more integrity to his art, freinds fans and the worlds just a whole lot better with him in it!! And after so many yrs. I'm more of a friend than a fan. I think I might call Exene, she how she is!

This poster said just how I feel about John D. and all his projects!!

It is impossible to overstate what this man's music has meant to me. In the depths of my loneliness, this voice kept me company. I first saw X in 1987 and then saw John Doe at McCabe's Guitar Shop (Santa Monica) countless times. His solo albums are fantastic. Now I sing his songs to my children as they fall asleep at night. What a catalog of music and what a treasure of words and emotions. This man was alt country long before they had a name (cowpunk?). No labels and no boundaries.
