OMG!! That gave me chills..I've never had to live thru a winter like that..in Cali we drive a few hours up the mountain to play in the snow then it back down to get warm...Here in Texas today was the first day I had to ware a sweater..lol

I have always said that areas with snow are a great place to vacation in but a bad thing to have to live in

I have lived here for 37 years so I am pretty used to it

I don't know if I will ever get used to it. I lived in orlando for 30 yrs and did'nt care if I ever saw snow again. I moved up north because my relatives were getting old and I wanted to spend some time with them while they were still alive. People around here laugh at me because I start wearing a heavy coat when it gets below 50.

Right now it is 35 degrees with a dusting of that white stuff. I love the pic though, so pretty.

It was 28 degrees here this morning and I am planning on going hunting again tomorrow. Hope I have all my gear together. Let's see. long underwear,gloves,thermal socks,heavy coat,insolated boots,flannel shirt,thick camo pants and a thermos of coffee. Oh yeah and a bottle of brandy for when I get home.

I use to go hunting years ago, too cold for me out there now, and
i'm too old to chase deer around the woods, lol

Woo hoo it got up to 64 degrees here today. I still have'nt gotten my deer. Saw a couple but there were to many trees in the way for a clean shot. However I did nail me a couple of poachers.

WOW, what part of the country do you live in for those temps? Only 46 here today!

Currently I am living in ky. I lived in fla most of my life but the fla I loved is gone forever. Between the invasion of cubans,hatians etc. from the south and the invasion of yankees from ny,nj etc. from the north fla changed right before my eyes. It was a sad thing.

My mom lived here in ky and I decided to come back here so I could spend time with her. The truth is it isn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. Raising the kids in a small town has turned out to be a good thing. They still believe in going to church, helping out neighbors and being just plain freindly. So many values that most of the country has seemed to have forgotten.
