Well Winter has hit with a vengeance for me, I drove my son to work this morning and the temperature on the sign outside his work was 1 degree - that's 1 degree celcius or 34 degrees farenheit, and I know many of you will think that's funny cos you get much colder in your winters, but here we rarely get under about 4 degrees, so I am totally frozen. :ahhhhh5645

I'm not about to laugh, you didn't laugh at us when we were suffering the blizzards. .... hot toddys or take the cure, float your whiskey bottle in the hottest water you an stand and take a hot bath.... warms up inside and out! ooh or hotbuttered rum, spiced cider lol the list goes on and on and on....

Make sure you wear a hat when you go out - no matter how stupid you think it makes you look, and keep your feet warm too....

I am not laughing either, I HATE winter. I do not know why I moved back to northeastern Washington because northwestern Oregon has much milder winters. So I will be saying the same things you are saying now in six months :cheers

Yeah that's the trouble labell, I never wear hats summer or winter, and of course I stopped off at the coffee shop on my way home and didn't even have a jacket...lol

It's a bit like Dutch winters... if it is below zero (Celsius), it gets really unpleasant, but the winds (east wind) are the worst...

Take care hon and follow up the good advice above!

lol Sorcer3ss I never did either, now cant survive without my hat/scarf. I made it out of thermal fleece, it's a scarf with a hood , scarf keeps the neck nice and warm, then flip the hood down in warmer temps, up it comes in rain, snow or wind... I made mine out of Sponge Bob material lol - great conversation starter! And it doesn't get you hot and sweaty nor ruin your hair.... I'd mail you one if I had a working sewing machine... maybe I'll borrow mom's... let me know if you want one...

Dani, I know what you mean. When I was first married, I moved to Michigan - 325 miles north of where Labell and I live now......LOL - I swear summer is the 3rd week of July and I had seen snow as early as Columbus Day (Oct. 12) and as late as Mother's Day (May) although not necessarily in the same winter season.

I loved coming home for Easter as my mom's daffodils would be blooming and mine would be 3 weeks later! I sure like Ohio better, but do go to Michigan for a summer vacation when I can.
