Be Careful and Educated

November 18th, 2009 my nephew passed away at 16 years of age. He was perfectly healthy child that played sports and was top of his class. The doctors at the hospital administered the H1N1 vaccine to him without getting consent from his mom when she took him to the ER for being sick. They had sent him home earlier in the day stating he just had a stomach virus and sent him home with instructions to "drink Gatorade" even though at that time he told them he was short of breath and very tired. Eight hours later we take him back and without a signed consent for treatment and without a chest X-Ray they instantly gave him the vaccine without a medical history in tow. Within 10 minutes after the vaccination he coded and never completely woke up again. Now if you check the CDC website they tell you that you are not to administer this vaccine to anyone under 18 years of age without a parents consent and that you also should not issue it to someone that is already sick because it is a live virus vaccine. I am not saying dont take the vaccine if you feel you need it just be CAREFUL and EDUCATED!! They can't bring him back to us they cant give him back to his 9 year old little brother and we cant have a real funeral for him because they permanently disfigured him in the hospital. Please be informed and dont let this happen to you or your kids

i haven't done hardly any research about it, but did hear the food and drug admin had not even approved it because it all came about so fast.

Also heard that the regular flu shot that you get would battle the h1n1 just as well as that specific shot. I do not ever get any flu shots, hoping that my natural anti bodies can fight them off. Also, don't like the idea of injecting the virus in me, even though i may never get it.


I'm very sorry to hear such a story sea77, you and your family have my sympathy and prayers. Its sad to hear such tragadies happen to such young people.

OMG Sea that is so horrible!! I am not getting the swine flu shot and wont allow my children to get it either. I am scared to death of it! I am also very scared of swine flu so its such a hard choice. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this horribly painful time.​

I too am so sorry for your loss sea and also hope that your family plans on holding the responsible parties accountable!! This is a terrible tragedy.

I myself find this whole H1N1 thing very strange. I am told by my doctors to get the vaccine, but they are not able to get any there??? Why am I able to go to all these grocery stores and pharmacies and get the vaccination but not at the clinic I go to? Its all about the money I tell you. I for one will NOT be getting the vaccine.

Sea that is so sad and I am so sorry for your families loss. Thank you for sharing with us and I am not allowing my children to have this shot either. My dentist even warned me about injecting a live virus anytime into your body!

OMG sea! Thats just horrific! These damn docs and thinking they know everything! I am so sorry for you and your familys loss hon. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. How tragic!
I myself have never nor do i want to ever have a flu shot of any kind. When i use to be a therapist i had a doc who was a client and i asked him if i should ever get a flu shot..he asked me..have you ever had one? No was my reply and he said then don't! He said for many folks that getting a flu shot puts a live virus in the body for it to fight and 9 times out of 10 you will get the flu and it will be worse then if you got it normally. It will also last longer. Also, i have a friend who had a shot when she was younger and it destroyed her frontal lobe in her brain. She was fine before she got it. Now she is mentally slow and can't understand alot.

So sorry to hear that awful news sea, unfortunately at times SOME doctors do think they are a law unto themselves. I agree redfawn I only had a flu shot once and I was so sick after that, never again for me.
