4th Of July Plans?

Me and my man are going away for the weekend, the poconos. We will be back on the 4th of July to hopefully do something with the kiddies! ​

Our city has a great program on the fourth at the park nearly across the street... so our yard has a perfect view of the fireworks, but with all the amenities of home! It's really fun talking with all our neighbors as they hike past the house on the way to the crowded park! We sit back, relax and enjoy our comfy chairs. We used to make home made ice cream, and cookout - but we're not having anyone over till the evening this year. Our celebration will be very small, we're all tired from taking care of my mom... but we're so grateful to have her here once again!

I hope you all have a wonderful holiday... I did buy a new tshirt to celebrate. I love patriotic shirts for the summer holidays... this one is pretty special, it's a Thomas Kinkade print called Light of Freedom!...

Thats so great that you are able to see the fireworks right from your house Labell!! I wish I had that over by me, we have to drive quite a bit to see any. That shirt is beautiful!! ​

We are going to my daughter and son-in-law's annual Horse Shoe Tourney and cook out. Lots of family, friends and good food. Then at night they have a big firework display. The 3rd of July is my grandsons 11th birthday, so we will be there also, then off to my son-in-law's parents at night, who live on the lake to watch the big fire work display the town puts on, off the lake. Also all the people who live on the lake have their own fire work display. Sunday at my house for another cook out. Hopefully the weather will be nice so the kids can enjoy the pool. My son and his wife will be here from Fl. and my other daughter who lives in Baltimore , her husband and 2 children will be here also. So we looking forward to spending time with our 3 children and 6 grandchildren. It is not to often that we are all together at one time. Wishing you all here at Streak a happy and save 4th.

Love that shirt Labell! I am not even sure if they are going to be doing fireworks here this year. (too dry) So I guess we will wait til the last minute and then figure it out.
