Slots Galore Cashout--can someone help to expain

My check has been processed today and being sent via FED EX. The [email protected] stated in her email "The check can only be deposited into a Bank account - it is NOT a cashier's check"

The thing is I don't have a bank account and I was gonna try and cash it at the local Check Cashing Center that I am a frequent customer of. I also sent my inquiry back the the cashier but until I hear back from them, was hoping someone here could explain what they mean by "The check can only be deposited into a Bank account - it is NOT a cashier's check" and if I am unable to cash at the Check Cashing, will i be able to open a bank account with that check? But if worse comes to worse I can endorse it and sign it over for my mom to deposit for me..

What does my check not having to be a cashiers check have anything to do with why it can only be deposited and not cashed?

Sorry if I sound dingy but I'm getting nervous about not being able to actually cash the payment. I'd appreciate all knowledge and comments..

I wouldn't panic yet, most check's cashed at those places are not cashier's checks anyway...

I googled it to see the definition, a cashier's check is drawn on the bank itself issuing it as opposed to being drawn on a customer's account... it's generally considered a bitsafer than not...

I'd imagine there's is a check drawn on their account, I'd bet you don't have a problem... let us know though please as I've been wondering myself about having a withdrawal sent as a check. good luck!

received my check for $765.00 I was able to cash it out my local check cashing but they charged $45. I didn't mind because i got my cash within minutes. thanks for your comments and suggestions streak members!

ok.. so I just got a notification from the check cashing place that the check they cashed for me was returned for NFS.. I received the notice last week, but was in the process of moving so wasn't able to email slots galore until tonight.. I haven't received a response yet.. oh boy..

Oh no!! Now what happens?? I would be very upset!

I hope you get this resolved. It sure sounds like a mess. I am always afraid of a paper check since I live in Illinois. I don't know if the banks will cash them. I always try to use bank wire only.
