It is a serious drink, with quite a bit of alcohol. My friend says it tastes like drinking gasoline. HAHAHA. I say "Premium Unleaded, Smooth."

Orange Creamsicle

3 oz. Orange Juice
1 1/2 oz. Vanilla Vodka
1 1/2 oz. French Vanilla Creamer

Pour all ingredients into a glass over ice, stir, and serve.

This is DELICIOUS, it tastes just like the Creamsicle I use to buy from the Ice Cream Man for a quarter.
(dangggggg, that was a long time ago, lol)

Honeydew Mimosas

Use honeydew, a traditional breakfast fruit, as the base for this frosty cocktail. Blend the melon with ice and sugar, then mix with a bottle of sparkling wine for a refreshing summer combo.

Yield: Makes 6 cups

1/2 medium honeydew melon (about 4 cups), cubed
1 cup crushed ice
1 tablespoon sugar
1 (750 ml) bottle sparkling wine, chilled
Garnishes: lime wedges

Preparation

Combine first 3 ingredients in a blender. Process until smooth. Pour mixture into a large pitcher; add sparkling wine. Pour into glasses. Garnish, if desired.
Note:
This recipe can easily be doubled. Just be sure to make the mimosas in 2 batches. For best results, chill melon overnight.

FISHBOWL COCKTAILS

INGREDIENTS:
  • ½ cup Nerds candy
  • ½ gallon goldfish bowl
  • 5 oz. vodka
  • 5 oz. Malibu rum
  • 3 oz. blue Curacao
  • 6 oz. sweet-and-sour mix
  • 16 oz. pineapple juice
  • 16 oz. Sprite
  • 3 slices each: lemon, lime, orange
  • 4 Swedish gummy fish
[FONT=helvetica neue, helvetica, arial, sans-serif]How to:

Sprinkle Nerds on the bottom of bowl as "gravel". Fill the bowl with ice and insert gummy fish. The ice helps to hold the gummies in place.
Mix all the liquid ingredients first before pouring it into the fishbowl.
Slowly pour the drink over the ice so not to disturb the gummy fish.
Garnish with the fruit slices and sip away.

Hot Mulled Cider

INGREDIENTS

1/2 gallon of fresh, unfiltered apple cider
1 orange
15 cloves
4 3-inch sticks of cinnamon
15 allspice berries
1 teaspoon of nutmeg
7 pods of cardamon
1/4 cup brown sugar

METHOD

1 Pour apple cider into a 3-quart saucepan, cover, turn the heat on medium-high. While cider is heating up, take a vegetable peeler and peel away a couple thick strips of peel from the orange. Press about half of the cloves into the peeled part of the orange. (You can also just quarter the orange and add the slices and cloves separately. I just like seeing the orange bob up and down.) Place orange, orange peel strips, the remaining cloves, and the rest of the ingredients into the sauce pan with the cider. Keep covered and heat the mulled cider mixture to a simmer and reduce heat to low. Simmer for 20 minutes on low heat.

2 Use a fine mesh sieve to strain the hot mulled cider away from the orange, cloves, and other spices. If you want, you can add a touch of bourbon, brandy, or rum to spike it up a bit. Serve hot. Add a cinnamon stick to each cup if desired.

Makes 8 cups.
